The Unknown Soldiers.

It was 5th standard I guess when I was taught that farming is mother of all occupations

and is treated as the most important occupation of the country. I was also taught that our country is gifted with seasonal monsoons with which our agricultural sector is providing healthy outputs in terms of economics as well as quantity. From that point of time till today, I don’t understand why the farmer, who is the father of the mother of occupations, is always in the news for suicides, protests and so many other ways. I don’t understand why rice mill owners are rich and owner of the rice crop is poor after all rice is only after the rice crop. India is the major producer of sugar and spices but the farmers who produce them often complain about their family situations. I don’t understand why the village which is the source of food is backward in terms of facilities provided. From my childhood I have seen various governments but always opposition leaders are the one who raise voice for the farmers. I can’t comment on the present government as it has completed only a year but the previous ruling party leaders who are in opposition now are very much concerned with the problems of farmers now but when they are in government they are dealing with different scams and how to overcome them. The present government even did not show any reforms in agricultural sector I their first year, hope they will concern about them in the next four years. One of the major promises of the leaders in elections is to exempt farmers from payment of loans which they have taken but no leader is concerned why there is a necessity take loan. Instead these leaders can find a permanent solution to give financial assistance to farmers such that farmers can exercise their farming activities freely without the pressure from money lenders and banks. There is assistance given to different government employees across the country. Why can’t the government recognize the farmers in the country and give them financial assistance, for their family and for education so that they never lose hope on farming. Regularization of agriculture is needed from government where all the farmers are the part of government as public servants. There are several researches going on in different fields in the country, we wanted research in agricultural field to improve the quality and quantity of the outcome. Today most of the agricultural products are polluted by use of excess pesticides, we are in need to develop environmental friendly methods for agriculture without the use of pesticides so that the outcome is safe for consumers. This can happen only when the farmer is educated and given importance in the society where he doesn’t confine to use pesticides in order to increase the yield. All these things can only happen with the assistance of the government. We should not forget that the country’s health is well if the farmer is well both in health and ethics. Over 67 years passed since we achieved our Independence but the farmer is still dependent on the monsoons. He doesn’t have freedom to raise crop when he wants. We talk a lot on development and never concerned about the developments in agricultural sector. Even today our crops are affected by floods and droughts. In case of floods we leave all the rain water in to the river and in case of droughts we fight for water and all over the year we fight among states raising different water issues. In what way we are developed? We can count the number of projects constructed on our hands since our Independence. Every state should maximize the use of water from rains in their regions and minimize depending on the water from other states. There should be enough canals and other projects to store water and also to raise the water level. We achieve total freedom only if our farmers achieve freedom from untimely rains and pressure of the loans. Hope the day is coming soon.... #Satyamevajayate.Jai Hind.

I am an INDIAN even in INDIA...

India is my country. All Indians are my brothers and sisters..... These are the starting lines of the pledge that we used to take in our school days. These are ment to incorporate an idea of unity among us (Indians) from child hood so that we unite to take our country forward. Are we really brothers and sisters or atleast is there somekind of relationship bounded by humanity? If there is such relationship there will not be cases where people die more because they are not admitted in hospitals on time than the seriousness of the injury at the time of accidents. My point is here we are not bound. We are bounded more by religions, castes and other different irrelavant differences than due to humanity. I had seen people saying that certain group of people who are not actually related to them as their own community as their caste is same. They support their own community irrespective of right or wrong. Many parents prefer marriages with in their community some times sub community. They are so worried about their caste than his/her character. Certain group of people are so united and are very helpful to each other. This looks good to read until I say they are helpful to each other in taking other community of their own society down resulting in communal clashes which in fact ruling the nation right now. Some say that 'Baghavatgeetha' should be taught at schools and some other say 'Islam' principles to be taught at schools. They forget that they are many things common in both of them and both of them teach service to humanity and nature is the ultimate service to God. But we fight on the name of these holy principles. In our country many of us cast votes just beacuse of cast, religion or some other relation. Many criminals are held high in politics as they have support from their community. To all those people who believe in cast I ask only one question. If you had met with an accident and you are in need of blood, tell me whether your family members look for the donor belonging to your own community or they check only blood group? Some times we don't even know the name of the donor. Why we need cast to establish a relationship like marriage? We had friends whom we trust more than our family members who actually are from different communities. Aren't we happy with those from different communities. Some times we love some of the traditions followed by them. I was never called an Indian in my country. I was either adressed based on my name, language, cast or religion. Why we need so many differences? To all those fathers I wanted to ask a question. Which is greater, the probability of finding a right mate to your child with in your community or the probability of finding a right mate across the country or say a state? Why do you miss this logic. You are the one's who guided us all the way but some time you to miss some options. I saw parents who inject these castism or similar thoughts in younger generation which resulted in the existence of this cast system even today. If we had slowly forgot our casts from the time of our Indipendence today we all might have been united as Indians. No casts, no special reservations and equal oppurtunity to all and equal growth. We need to understand that all the things which are followed since many years may not be right. We need to change and change things. Let us remove the tags of cast from our names. Let us say that we are Indians in India or abroad. We are recorgonised by our nation and name. We need one religion one cast #INDIANISM... Jai Hind.. Satyamevajayate......
