No Smoking - Ban Smoking in Public Places.

' No Smoking, Smoking kills ' These are the common statutory warnings we see almost  daily. Is this effecting the smokers, it seldom does but the real victims of smoking are passive smokers. They are paying for something which they are not responsible. It already late, let us all rise and stop this evil from ruining our lives. Public smoking is banned in India. Public places includes all auditoriums, parks, offices, railways etc. In short smokers are allowed to smoke in special zones allocated to them if they are such places, if not smoking is banned in public places. But this rule is hardly followed and checked by officials. The more concerned issue is the officials who are supposed to protect the law are violating it with no regrets. When some common citizens question them, we all know what happens. In this country there always that invisible force which protects the officials and lawmakers from prosecution giving them rights to violate laws. After all laws are for common citizens not for lawmakers and bureaucrats. The sale of tobacco products in prohibited within 100 yards from an educational institution. The sale of tobacco is prohibited to the people under 21 years of age. He cannot involve in production too. This law is taken for  granted and today we see small stores specifically for tobacco products targeting students of those institutions. We see children selling these products near railway stations, bus stations etc. We know many child labor employed for manufacturing of local beedis and other products involving tobacco. How many actions are taken on those type of stores? I think none. The development of the country lies with its responsible citizens. Unfortunately our citizens are prone to dangerous cancer and other diseases due to this evil smoking. The corporate companies are busy earning profits through tobacco products, Government and the oppositions are busy fighting in the parliament, Media is busy with TRPs. The government and the media should take steps in knowing laws and enforcing them. In the recent years the cancer cases are increasing, the pollution in the atmosphere is rising, better not late its time for us to wake up and fight for smoke free country, India is set for a Change, It is Changing, Let us include every problem in its course for Change, Let the Change start from us.
